April 5, 2004 — New Rochelle-based PrimeCare Systems, Inc. announced that PrimeCare
patient management system version nine can be used by Medicare, Medicaid
and commercial health-care insurance carriers to allow more control over
their physician networks. The tool will reduce the carriers' exposure to
erroneous billing and fraud.
The system could also be used to conduct remote electronic utilization
and quality assurance reviews at any time, initiating an online audit in minutes.
The product documents the physician's decision-making process and
diagnoses, services rendered, tests and procedures performed and
medications prescribed, then matches them with the appropriate
evaluation and management code levels validating the proper payment.
