The PrimeCare Patient Management System is user-friendly
and interactive software that creates an electronic patient record.
The
PrimeCare System uses an authoritative and comprehensive knowledge bank
of approximately 285 symptom and problem-oriented patient history questionnaires,
collectively containing over 100,000 chief complaint and disease state
questions.
The current edition of the PrimeCare System
is an Internet-based edition that requires only a computer running any current version
of Windows, and an internet connection. Installation requires only a
few moments, and no sensitive data is permanently stored on the client machine.
All patient information is securely stored in PrimeCare Systems, Inc.'s secure data
center, available to authorized users twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week,
from any location with Internet access.
For more detailed information or to download
an evaluation version of the PrimeCare System, please visit the
Version Nine dedicated web site.
Patients interact directly
with the PrimeCare System, during what is usually waiting time. A detailed
patient history is obtained without taking any of the physician's time.
Patients are seated at a computer and answer complaint-specific questions
by using just the number keys to indicate answers that apply to them;no
typing or computer skills are required. Even patients with NO computer
experience find the software easy and satisfying to use. The software
also has bilingual capabilities, allowing Spanish-speaking patients
to interact in their preferred language.
When the patient questionnaire
is completed and a staff member has
entered the patient's vital signs, the PrimeCare System creates a preliminary
report for the physician to review before examining the patient.
The preliminary report contains the patient's current problems, medications
and allergies, all positive and significant negative subjective responses,
vital signs and a list of diagnostic considerations triggered by
the patient's responses. By freeing up the time physicians would normally
have to spend asking patient history questions and recording responses,
PrimeCare permits physicians to see more patients in less time - without
sacrificing quality of care.
The PrimeCare System is also
easy for the physician to understand and use. Easy to use documentation templates let
the physician document physical findings, assessment, treatment
plan, medications
prescribed and patient education materials provided. At the conclusion
of the encounter a visit report, educational files and prescriptions
are printed for the patient.
The PrimeCare System greatly
enhances the productivity and efficiency of any practice by providing
complete documentation for every encounter, while eliminating transcription
and dictation costs. The physician's role as a "note taker" is eliminated.
More hands-on time is available for diagnostic assessment and treatment,
allowing up to two more patients to be seen per office hour. The PrimeCare
System is successfully being used in practice settings where the patient
mix is up to 80% Medicare/Medicaid. Microsoft, Windows
